Bar Exam Results : February 2010 : Massachusetts

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners have released results of the February 2010 Massachusetts bar exam.  Results were mailed to applicants on Friday, April 23rd, 2010.  The names of those who passed the written portions of the bar examination will be publicly posted in every county clerk’s office during the month of  June.  617 applicants sat for the February bar exam, of which 387 passed, a pass rate of 63.7%.  More statistics can be found at the MA Board of Bar Examiners website here.  Congratulations to all successful candidates!

Bar Exam Results : July 2009 : Massachusetts

Massachusetts State SealThe Commonwealth of Massachusetts has published the results of the July 2009 bar exam.

The list of passers is segmented alphabetically as follows:

Passers alphabetically with last names beginning with A-C
Passers alphabetically with last names beginning with D-H
Passers alphabetically with last names beginning with I-M
Passers alphabetically with last names beginning with N-R
Passers alphabetically with last names beginning with S-Z

The Board of Bar Examiners has also released some basic statistics associated with bar passage rates. Overall, 85.7% of candidates passed the exam. First time takers experienced a 90.4% passage rate. Those taking the exam for the second or more time experienced a much lower passage rate, as follows:

Second Time: 49.0%
Third Time: 45.0%
Fourth Time: 33.3%
Fifth Time or more: 27.3%
